Whether you are working in adult or paediatric nursing, maternity, community, therapy, radiography, theatres, or military clinical support, your role is vital to delivering exceptional patient care.
As a HCSW, you are supported from your very first day by the School of Nursing, AHPs and Midwifery at University Hospitals Birmingham. The school’s Professional Development and Education (PDE) Team offers tailored induction, ongoing learning, and pastoral support to help you grow, belong, and contribute to our central purpose of delivering outstanding care.
Our inclusive ethos ensures every HCSW feels valued and supported, with opportunities for career progression through the Growth and Progression Pathway and other routes such as apprenticeships. The PDE Team is here to guide you through your induction, clinical observations, and achievement of the Care Certificate standards.
