The NIHR Birmingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), hosted by UHB, are launching a new monthly webinar series called ‘Your health, our research: short talks, big impact’

Each session will dive into groundbreaking research on everyday health conditions like cancer, arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and heart conditions with experts from across the NHS and UK Universities.

Join these short talks and discover how the latest research could shape your health and the world
around you. This webinar series is open to everyone, including patients and staff, and no science background required.

Fighting cancer from within: Using the body’s own immune system to tackle cancer

How do immunotherapy drugs work? What are their side effects? Join this short talk delivered by Dr Claire Palles, Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham’s Department of Cancer and Genomic Sciences, to discover how research at the UHB-hosted NIHR BRC is exploring ways to improve treatments for future cancer patients.
